Lifeline Qualifications
You can qualify for Lifeline in Nevada if you meet the following qualifications:
Non-Tribal Residents
1. If you are a non-tribal resident and get assistance from one or more of the following programs:
- Medicaid (not Medicare)
- Food Stamps
- Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
- Federal Public Housing Assistance (Section 8)
- Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)
- National School Lunch Program’s free lunch program (must qualify for free lunch)
- Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)
OR
2. If your total gross annual household income is at or below 150% of the federally-established poverty levels set forth for the number of persons in your household.

Tribal Residents
3. Extended eligibility applies to Tribal Residents and who qualify under one of the programs above (#1 or #2) OR one of the following programs:
- Bureau of Indian Affairs General Assistance
- Tribally Administered Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (Tribal TANF)
- Head Start (must satisfy income qualifying standard)
- Medicaid (not Medicare)
- Food Stamps
- Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
- Federal Public Housing Assistance (including Section 8)
- Low Income Home Energy Assistance (LIHEAP)
- National School Lunch Program’s free lunch program (must qualify for free lunch)
- Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)
